Ballina Credit Union Proudly Sponsors Salmon Festival 5K Run

We were once again delighted to sponsor this year’s Salmon Festival 5K Run, which took place on Sunday, July 13th.
Despite the unpredictable weather, a fantastic crowd turned out to support and take part in what has become a much-loved event in the festival calendar.
Just ten minutes into the race, the heavens opened but the rain did nothing to dampen the spirits of the runners. Participants powered through the wet conditions with determination with many achieving impressive times and finishing with smiles on their faces.
We were delighted to be there on the day to present prizes to the winners and celebrate the achievements of all who took part.
A special thank you to Mary Dunne, Tracey McCann Glacken and Mary Molyes and all the incredible volunteers who put in so much time and hard work to make these sorts of events happen.
We would also like to thank the wonderful Lady of the Moy Alanna, who spent the morning judging the much loved annual dog show as part of the agricultural show and the evening both competing in, and presenting the prizes for the annual Salmon festival 5K.
Ballina Credit Union is delighted to have the opportunity to support community events like this and we’re already looking forward to sponsoring the 5K again next year!!
